I am a high school runner who opted not to run spring track. As a trade-off, I decided to focus on a LOT of base mileage to really kill it in xc next season. Any advice?
Last season, I ran about 30-35 mpw throughout the season, peaked at 40 mpw, and the lowest mileage i ran was about 20 mpw.
I ran 22 miles last week, and am trying to bring that up to 40-55 and peak at 60 one week. I'll take a week off before summer, and then go back in with about 40-50 mpw. Is this a good plan?
