I see reviews for it but I don't see a store carrying one. The reviews are from the fall of last year and yet the store only have #5. Even the Adidas online store has one model of #5.

5 is the current retail model

Don't tell a sole.
Very mysterious shoe indeed...
The ABB5 was first available at the Boston 2014 Marathon in limited quantities in orange then the blue/black appeared in the summer.
A so-called ABB6 was first shown in December 2014, but it turned out to be a Women's ABB5 with a knitted mesh upper. Then there was a video review of an ABB6 by runningwarehouse in the summer of 2015 but it never came out and the review got pulled !
AFAIK here's the latest review of an ABB6 on a Spanish website :
http://www.roadrunningreview.com/es/Adidas-Adizero-Boston-6/REVIEW--100073.html
- but it doesn't look one bit like the official AQ5989/AQ5990 models mentioned by Booster above
GNM,
hope you're well.
I agree, Adidas have been a bit backward at coming forward with the BB6 but I can only imagine that there are sound commercial and/or technical reasons underpinning this.
Like you I came across the Spanish roadrunningreview recently and viewed it with interest. However whilst I agree that the colour is clearly not that shown in the AW16 catalogue, the design is the same as the white/solar red and ray red/blue models coming out very shortly.
Fyi think roadrunningreview's vid is of 'tech green' which is going to be bigish in Q4 (along with unity lime, unity blue and shock slime!).
You know I favour really light shoes (sen in particular) but I have got two pairs of BB5 (one in 'stock') which I use in the rotation and think they're great. Guess BB6 will be equally good + a bit wider in the toe box if they follow the Adios update.
I think George and the Product Team may have something special for us too just ahead of Rio. Very light+boost+primeknit? Would stress I'm guessing but I note that the AW16 does not show anything for Adizero Feather so possibly we'll get a special iteration here? I must stop speculating.
ps have you seen the GB Rio kit:
http://www.adidasspecialtysports.co.uk/product/team-gb-shimmel/AZ2644
A little cartoonish in my eyes but am sure it'll sell in bucket loads. As if Stella McCartney needs the money:)
Thanks, yes I'm not too bad, although after completing my first marathon in a decent time I took a two week break and my fitness has taken a nosedive since and has stayed there, odd...as I'm feeling otherwise fine.
I could definitely use a wider pair of BBs as the BB5 was really tight, well the first generation at least as the recent versions seem to have come in a standard and (undocumented) wider/deeper forefoot version as observed several people. The wider version (I briefly had the black with pink and green soles) gave me blisters at the base of the toes though, hehe...
I have half a mind to try the Tempo Boost 8 (all red !) or wait for the "wide" version as announced in the Q3 catalogue.
Actually my GB6/AB2 combo works pretty well but it's always nice to try new shoes ;-)
Interesting colors for Team GB indeed!
Found a review of the TB8 here : http://www.theactiveguy.com/review/adidas-adizero-tempo-8-boost-shoe-review/ - an even tighter forefoot than the TB7 apparently, guess I'll be waiting for the TB8Wide ;-)
GNM,
If you fancy trying Tempo 7 you can get them at a low price here:
Re Team GB Rio kit being 'catoonish' I meant the design rather than the colours but maybe will be better in the flesh:
The tempo is a stability shoe and the Boston is a cushioned shoe. They are not interchangeable.
Relax,
Not interchangeable...says who?
Between white and black are many shades of grey and your classification of tempo and boston is far too simplistic.
Rebel, break the rules. You body, your feet, your money, your choice. Set the rules yourself and stuff the marketing and technical 'experts'.
Nice price on the TB7 indeed!
As for the TB and BB not being interchangeable, possibly, most reviews have mentioned that the TBs are "light stability" shoes and it's going to depend on your footstrike too. A forefoot striker is likely going to see little or no difference, a heel striker maybe not...
While waiting for the BB6 gave the TB8 a try and it's a...fail ! Way too" pointy", big toe touching on the side and tip in US12 that works fine for GB6 and AB2 (and even BB5 but toes cramped). Hope the BB6 doesn't have that problem...
The BB6 is out in the US :

Looking forward to reading first hand reports !
Anyone picked up a pair ?

The BB6 are not getting much love ;-)
