First there was Dora Ratjen, then Caster Semenya and Santhi Soundarajan, and most recently Chris Lukezic (albeit, after his running career).
So let's throw this on the table. What do you guys think? Does the mainstream running media need to get on the bandwagon and cover this properly?

What is there to say? Trans people are more than welcome to enjoy athletics too.
When it comes to competition, there simply needs to be a level of testosterone and other body chemicals, above which you compete in the male category or equivalent, and below which you can do as you please. This is to ensure a fair playing field for athletes, especially females.
On a different point, I think changing gender within sport has to be carefully looked at. I think from a human rights perspective, a person has the right to be whatever they want. But with regards to sport, this can be easily abused to cheat. The new IOC guidelines are perhaps open to manipulation.
