His rampage is ridiculous.
Some things worth noting:
1) He bashes the HS coaching profession, yet HS records are still being set frequently right now. The problem is occurring later when they can't keep the athletes in the sport post-collegiately. Look in the mirror.
2) He should worry about recruiting. If he doesn't like having to "fix" his athletes, then he should get ones that are ready to go (which is what he tries to do anyway.) God forbid he actually have to make adjustments to his athletes. And he really ought to hope that former UH athletes don't run out of kids any time soon. Their best sprint/jump prospects on both sides are related to Carl Lewis-era teammates or they are teammates of UH kids. The program is inbred with mostly legacy athletes and the entire staff that works with athletes attended UH.
3) Regarding drug usage - isn't an outlier with the article linked above somewhat suspicious? It is also interesting that he went to the same Dr. Jeffrey Brown (endocrinologist) that Salazar was sending people to. Even funnier is that he isn't the only one on the UH staff who has used Brown. Perhaps everyone has a legit condition, right?
