Did he run on any hate?
Video is here:

I thought it was interesting how much harder Brianne went out in her 600 TT than Ashton did in his 800.
Bri went 27, 59, 1:30. definitely went out too fast and paid for it
Ash went 28, 58, 1:28, 1:58. looked easy. someone needs to teach him for how sit behind the rabbit. he ran on the outside of lane 1 on the shoulder. ventolin would have a fit

Bri was practicing for her 800, so she practiced going out hard, just like she would in an 800.
Ashton was practicing for his 1500, so he tried to run more even.
Also it should have been easier for ashton at those paces. Bri running a 600 in 1:30 is pretty much all out. Ashton running a 1:58 800 definitely isn't all out.
1:30tt / 2:09 personal best doesn't compute

Put in 52.x for 400m and 2:09 for 800m into ventolin's all-knowing formula. What do you get?
Considering he ran 48.69 in the 400 hurdles, I would expect him to run considerably faster in a true all out effort. 1:58 seems like more of a training run for him.
Quite impressive. BTE is a strong 400m runner (52low) so 600s are quite "easy" for her (1'30TT alone is not bad at all) but that last 200m hurts her as hell (her PR, after multievents, it's just 2.09... she should have gone 2.04 pace in this effort, accordining to the video). As for Ashton, he should do 2.30 (indoor) so I'd say 1.54 at least on a true 800m effort. We had better remember he is a 45 flat 400m guy (!) so obviously can't suck too much at 800.
My favorite part:
"A middle distance runner has the cardio. They do long runs or 20 minute runs."

I don't want to know.
He's already run 1:52/2:30 years ago. He's probably solidly under 1:50.
Bri would be sub-2:00 with any decent endurance work. But she is pretty much a lock on a hep medal, so....
amazing analysis, i'm sure nobody thought of this!

45.00 and 4:14.5 give me 1:48.9.
I love how long this joke has been going. It is by far my favorite LRC joke, a head of Rexing, Teg10k, Hasay, etc.

Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
