PDs (Parking Decks):
1. Find a multi-leveled parking garage.
2. Sprint to the top
3. Ride the elevator down (to save your joints from the downhill pounding, and to limit your rest time)
4. Repeat as needed.
Thoughts?

Sounds dangerous. What about Traffic?
hmm... go early? A flashing light could be useful, since those garages are usually fairly dark, even in the daytime...
Not sure it would be any more dangerous than running on the roads... Cars can't go too quickly in those tight spaces
question: can you even run a 6 minute mile?
In college, we used to do hill sprints in a parking garage, since they were the closest hill. Any other hill was miles away.
Nobody ever was hurt. If you only do one "length", then you can monitor if anybody has walked to their car, so you know nobody is going to back out of a spot, causing you to run full speed into the side of their car.
If you stay right, you don't have to worry about somebody coming around a corner and hitting you.
The only time I've run more than one length was when I was snowed into a hotel. A nearby parking garage for the mall had no overnight parking allowed. Since the snowstorm had the nearest road closed, there were no cars, so I could run multiple levels with no worry about cars (and no snow!)
If you do this with a parking garage with cars, your biggest danger is what I said above, cars backing out in front of you, as long as you stay right.
You'll actually be running faster than the cars, since they're going slow on the way up to spot any open spots.
I did that 33 years ago. It ain't new.

Shut up fred, everyone hates you
I'm trying to decide if your post on here are just as bad and the ones you post on slowtwitch.
That's the white trash version. Here, we drive our Audi to the mountain....run to the top.....have lunch.....take the Gondola down.

Or you could just jump on a treadmill and do a hill workout. Incline goes back to zero much faster than an elevator. An added bonus is you can watch your favorite shows on the tv while working out.
If it doesn't have drink in', momma, trains, or trucks in it...
Wait, wrong forum.
Hey, that's great! Tell me your username so I can stalk you, too!

Why, yes, yes I can.
question: can you even contribute to a thread in a meaningful way?
Although not so bad running uphill since you are applying less force per footstrike, concrete is one of the worst surfaces you can run on. Steel grating probably the only one worse in a vehicular setting.
Treadmill better alternative. Total control, no worries about getting flattened on a blind corner.
Concrete is smooth and even, thus very good for running, plus there's very little impact when running up inclines.
OP, have you done a before / after comparison with time trials or races?

Lol, this is hilarious. One of the more prolific shitposters on letsrun is lecturing someone on making meaningful contributions
Bonus: when you get to the bottom floor, press the elevator button for the top floor, so it's waiting for you when you reach the top.

Because every coach is faster than the guys they coach, is that it?
FYI: 4:30 mile isn't exactly worldbeating, Speedy. I only bring that up because only one of us is bragging about our times. If you are interested, I have 2 high school kids who can run that right now. I hope that doesn't throw too wet of a blanket on your entire running career.
