Fell apart at the end but I guarantee he won't whine about Lelisa like Meb did about Rupp.

I thought it was a good show of sportsmanship by Lilesa. He clipped Chumba's heels and then came up and put his arm on his back sort of to say sorry for those of you who missed it in Tokyo. They were clear of the rest of the field. They then ran side by side for a while and appeared to be talking about the incident. Didn't seem heated.
I didn't take Meb's comments about Rupp to be whining. I reporter asked Meb what words were exchanged and he answered. Sure he could have declined to answer. If anything I'd say Meb was pissed not whining.

You can't whine after you have done your very best and come up short. Chumba employed the same strategy he always does and if the race was to be run again, he would do the same. Just replay last year's Tokyo race where he did the same only for the Ethiopian to run away from him later in the race. And like today, he got passed at the line to end up third. The 'clip' incident was obviously not intentional and seems like after that Lelisa did the right thing by running side by side with Chumba. In the end Lelisa was just too good for him.
I am Kenyan and would have loved for a Kenyan to win but if any outsider was to win, I would love it to be Lelisa. He is one of the coolest guys in the sport.
Obviously not similar, since Chumba did everything he could for the win while Meb chose to let Rupp pointlessly hammer on his own.
Did you watch the actual race? Meb was on the limit while Rupp was clearly within himself. Running with Meb probably felt like a shuffle so he opened up his stride a little bit and dusted him. If Meb could've, he would've went with Rupp. Get over the Rupp hating on here.

You obviously didn't speak to Meb after the Trials. He left it all out there. You forget he's 41. He had nothing in his arsenal to fend off Rupp and crashed and burned. Watch the replay and watch his legs locking up and shaky. No shame, dude is a stud.
Yeah, Wejo the tough journalist asking all the difficult questions. Still waiting for your hardline stance on Bernie and Paula, both of whom have more actual evidence of doping than Rupp. You, in fact, are admittedly more of a "gray area" doper than Rupp, going off actual evidence and not the hearsay of terminated employees. But, back to the original topic, Chumba is not a whiner. The "whole road" includes the whole road and not whatever parts make Meb comfortable. You project your own jealousy and strangely obsessive anger towards Rupp onto Meb so that to you he seems "pissed" when really he is a whiner. It's not as if Rupp even clipped him. I know Meb is used to races being set up for him to win in flag-waving fashion but that doesn't entitle him to get his way in actual competitive races - you know, the type where he gets dropped. You do know that feeling, right? Not even caffeine and allergy medicine could save you from that, right?

Careful, you will be banned. One of my IPs is banned because I dared criticize him. Tread carefully.
