That is cool. Have to say I am surprised. I thought the load would be higher, but who can argue with the results.
Can't believe he does the old leg extinctions, there is no place for this in anyone's programme.
Leg extensions are the only way to strengthen the quad through end range of motion.
Really nice video. I think it goes to show that you don't have to lift huge amounts of weight sometimes. I could do all of those lifts at those weights. Funny comment that he wrote: prepare to be underwhelmed
OMG I just wasted a minute of my life watching a SKINNY dude doing 5 lbs dumbbell exercises.
Curling an empty bar. Are you kidding me?
They say the TV adds 20 lbs, I'm glad I have never seen im in RL.
Jesus, He wouldn't last a single round of CrossFit.
I'm out, tinder date just texted. It's gonna be good.

Oh right, yes, that open chain, shearing trash is the only exercise that results in full knee extension against load. Don't even know where to start on this statement, geeeze.
He doesn't know the first thing about training and neither do any of you. Like he said, he's naturally fast and explosive.

You didn't read what I wrote.
Things to keep in mind is that this guy's goal is to be as strong as possible while having a bodyfat percentage of 5%. It doesn't look good and any gym bro will laugh about his little pink dumbbells but it seems to work for the decathlon. So who am I to argue with the results?
That said, this is not a good training program if you're trying to maximize gains in order to impress women.

Calm down dear.
Basically what we see here is complex training with light loads. Simple, low risk and obviously massively effective.

Honestly, do you know even the first thing about performance? Post hoc ergo propter hoc."Who I am to argue with the results?" His performance is the result of GENETICS. He would probably perform better if he dropped that entire garbage "strength" training program and just saved his resources.

People in this community are too stupid for words. Go ahead and copy his training program and see whether you get the same "massive" effect. Bet you can't break 14 for 100m.

This is one of the most ignorant statements that I have ever read on these boards. Training complements genetics, the idea is to find your personal optimal training stimulus. So to dismiss this as garbage is ridiculous. It's works for 'HIM' therefore it's a great programme for 'HIM'. It does not matter one jot if it does not work for any other athlete.
Also if you think genetics are good enough alone to perform at this level then there is no helping you.
I remember seeing a video of Usain Bolt weight lifting. He was cleaning with a bar that had maybe 25's on each side, so less than 100 lbs total.
You don't need to train with heavy weights if you want to be fast.
Oh I did, I read the whole thing.
If you want to see somebody lifting heavy, I made an Asafa Powell thread just now.

So you just don't know that closed-chain exercises resulting in knee extension are pretty quad-passive at the end range
