$5000, that would be the GOAT chocolate bar!
It's possible that Moulton is leaving Speed River, as they've posted a job available for club manager. Wonder if he got a job in the states or Windsor.

Brett Lumley Head Coach (Interim)
Chris Moulton - Associate Coach TandF, x-country
What kind of job would he get at Windsor?
because he's good at sweeping things under the rug.

1) Run Canada donations helped pay for a house rental in Flagstaff for one month that was used by 4 athletes. There was no money paid directly to athletes or any other direct support.
2) Athletics Canada was helping out a bunch of Olympic athletes. When they don't help our athletes people complain. They can't win either way from trolls.
3) Shawn Brady's video netted around $200 which was donated to CityKidz.
$10,000 donation was done thinking marathon prize money would keep coming in similar fashion to 2011 STWM (3rd overall, 1st Canadian, time bonus). Unfortunately that was still the highest paying marathon, by far.
I'm looking into the Speed River job and after checking Moulton's Linkedin profile remembered the Run Canada comments from earlier. In his own words, the Run Canada program raised over $15k
"Founding Director - Run Canada Month
...Spearhead a fundraising campaign that raised over $15,000 for Canada's 2012 Olympic Marathon Team"
https://ca.linkedin.com/in/chris-moulton-162a6a18Someone already quoted Reid giving a very different response to #3 above. Moulton's own words make it unlikely that #1 is correct either, as over $15,000 covers much more than just 1 months rent on a house.
What seemed like a reasonable post with inside information by Here's a response now looks to be pretty far from the truth, perhaps purposely downplaying or flat out lying about the amount of money involved in these fundraising efforts.
Unless you think $15,000 only covers one months rent on a house, something doesn't add up.
you folks are almost up to 20 pages so... what are you blathering on about? Something about stealing government funds? Simple solution: no state backing for sports.
Very interesting. Does anyone know what a house rental in Flagstaff for one month would run? How much of $15,000 would be left after that.
"Lalonde, a resident of Guelph, Ont. who trains with Speed River, broke the women’s 3,000m steeplechase record, which was previously held by Jessica Furlan (9:33.45), in 9:32.17. She won the bronze medal at the Pan Am Games in Toronto last summer and has represented Canada on the international stage."
