Graduated last spring and have been training by myself since. Up until now I'd been focusing on distances up to 10k, but I'm interested in moving up to the half (and eventually marathon). I feel confident in my ability to write workouts for shorter races and structure a training block, but am not sure what to do for more specific-type workouts.
About me: female, 80mpw, 35:30 10k, feel that sub-78 min would be a reasonable goal for me (plan to do race in a few months).
Weekly structure:
Sun: 2hr long run - 30-40 min progression off the back end every other week
Mon: easy double or recovery
Tues: tempo-based workout + hills or strides ( >7M of work)
Wed: easy double
Thur: easy double
Fri: shorter intervals or fartlek + hills or strides
Sat: easy double
Search function hasn't yielded anything too helpful beyond "run mileage and do tempos." Links to any good threads I might have missed or specific session suggestions would be much appreciated.
