I really don't know what to think. Magness appears to be a bright and balanced character who is obviously involved and invested in the fight against doping and unethical behaviour in the sport. But is he implying that he "knows" Dibaba/Aden athletes are doping and evading testing? Or is he just saying that he thinks, on balance of probability, that these performances stretch credulity?
If it's the latter then I'm pretty disappointed by the vituperative tone; regardless of the last year of news exposing cheating and corruption, everyone loses if we start convicting our winners and record breakers in the court of public opinion. There's nothing arrogant about being better than the competition.
If it's the former, then surely we're going to start hearing some very damning stuff very soon.
