Indoors doesn't count as a record, it counts as an INDOOR rdcord.

Is it eligible as a junior record? Arcane rule, that if she's born in the calendar year then not a junior record even though she's U20 and 10.5 months short of her 20th.

Well, there needs to be some sort of cutoff date and calendar year of birth makes the most sense. Besides, it all evens out. Ostrander had the advantage of being old for her grade all through her school years. Her DOB just didn't work for her on these Junior records.
just watched siedel's 8:57 from a couple weeks ago, interesting to see contrasting styles
Siedel went hard from the gun, 2:21 opening 800, 2k in 5:55 and closed with a last 1k of 3:02
Ostrander hit 2k in 6:04 or 6:05 then closed with a 2:49-2:50 last kilometer.
going to be a great matchup next month at nationals.
