We still have a long time until the next window opens, any guesses towards the standards? A? B? No B standard? Will they get rid of the men's half after all the DNFs today? Or was that just due to heat?

It's tough to say. Obviously a lot of half marathon qualifiers were exposed today. But at the same time, Rupp wouldn't have been able to debut (with fresh legs) without the HM qualifying option.
A logical solution would be to bump the HM option up to a 30k qualifying time.
Rupp, Pennel, Ward
Rupp
Derrick
somebody who hasn't run a marathon yet
I feel iffy picking Derrick because he's been banged up for like 3 years straight and Schumacher's, well, known for pounding the long intense workouts--but if Derrick can string together a couple healthy years and get a marathon under his built, I think he's going to be a natural.
Pennel too has a lot of potential I think, perhaps more than Ward. Will Puskedra stay in the sport for four more years?
