Of course. Remember: NBC is the network of Brian Williams. Why let facts stand in the way? I knew Buddy. When Hammond said that I almost puked.

Edelen was an animal. Amazing what he could have been with current training methods and the recognition of the importance of recovery days.
There is a great chapter on the race in the Buddy Edelen biography.
Exactly!!! Historical amnesia
I do not think Edelen ever ran as well as he had after that race. What happened to Norm Higgins in that race? Billy Mills waited and qualified in Culver City.
I believe Higgins had a major problems that day. Perhaps collapsing.
I think he was doing wind sprints in his warm-up.
Edelen's performance was the greatest marathon I ever witnessed.
They keep saying it's going to get up to 85. Well...maybe two hours after the race is over. I doubt it's going to get that high.
With the sun shining on the pavement and the buildings they pass IT IS HOT!
"Remember: NBC is the network of Brian Williams."
Remember: You really are an idiot. Find a network that doesn't feature at least six or seven or sixty known liars.
Was this the thread with the posts about Jan Merrill?
