Wise guys!
You probably never ran twenty miles before. It's ok, You're probably in High School. Keep it up! Running is good for your sole!
My first 10 mile run was around 1991.
Haven't gone 20 miles yet.
4 years
My freshman year of high school a friend of mine and I decided to run 20 miles just for fun. My Boy Scout troop did a 20 mile Walk-a-thon fundraiser every year and I wanted to run it, and I didn't want to be alone for 20 straight miles. My teammate was much more prepared for it than me, as she had already done runs in excess of 12 miles, while my longest run was 8.5. So for me, my first 20 miler actually did happen 10 miles after my first 10 miler.
38 years ago was first 10- have gone 18 miles many times- never 20. I am going to keep waiting so I can win this important thread. I will bump it in a few years.
