How much faster per mile is a track, when compared to roads. And by mile I mean 4 laps around a track as compared to running a mile using my garmin on my watch?
A couple things to consider. 4 laps on the track typically register me around .98 or .97 miles according to my watch. (Wearing it on my left arm.) Roads have varying turns hills. All things considered is their a consensus about how much time 4 laps of a track as opposed to 1 mile on the roads will differ? Assuming "average" road terrain?
