Two weeks ago, Syracuse put 3 guys below 3:59 in the same race. Last week, Georgetown went one better by putting 4 guys below 3:58.5 in the same race (which we believe was never done before)
This weekend, both Georgetown and Syracuse will be at the BU valentine.
1- Will Syracuse put 3 guys sub 3:58? This time Knight is only running the 3,000m, but Bennie is running the mile. They may yet put 4 guys below 4, if Germano can also go sub 4 (he surprised everybody at NCAA XC and he ran a great 5,000m a couple of weeks ago, so...)
2 - Georgetown's big 4 are all running the 3,000m (against Knight). However, can Georgetown put a few more guys below 4? Charles Cooper, Christian Alvarado and Spencer Brown are representing them in the mile this weekend. All three are running well this winter. Cooper improved his 800m by 3 seconds (down to 1:51). Cooper was ranked number 1 in a North America in HS indoor 2 miles in 2014. Who knows. Alvarado, ran 4:06 last winter and improved his 1,000m best by 2 seconds this winter. Freshman Brown ran a 1:50 and 2:23 this winter. One or more of them could sneak below 4. What is the highest number of runners from the same school who ran sub 4 in the same season?
