So I try to run 2 days per week during my lunch break. Other than those days, I almost always eat lunch at my desk.
No one else in my office works out at all, much less on their lunch break. I'm a top performer who gets high ratings and, objectively, has generated more revenue over the last two years than any of my peers.
All that said, I feel guilty running on my breaks and inevitably try to sneak out for an early lunch so no one sees me leave with my bag. When I do run into a co worker, the inevitable comment is something like "half day today?" or "leaving early I see."
Anyone else run into this problem? Not sure why I care but makes me feel like I'm short changing my job despite all the evidence to the contrary in terms of actual performance. How do I get over this?
