Even if we brought back manufacturing jobs that could employ millions of Americans at wages that are like $100,000 in today's dollars, I doubt that they would go filled. Really, most of today's young workers would rather barely scrape by, living in a trendy neighborhood in a big city and working a $20/hr desk job that "uses" their Marine Biology degree or whatever. Do you think that the average person nowadays would take a job where they might have to do 40 hrs per week of concentrated work, no ability to open a new tab and check their Facebook every 15 minutes?
