I am currently trying too break 4:30 for 1600m. What are some good hard workouts for that indicate 1600m ability? And how much rest should be in between each rep? The workouts I have done:
8x400 avg at 66 w/ 2 min standing rest
3x800 avg at 2:14 w/ 3 min standing rest
1200m at 3:23 w/ 4 min standing rest, followed by 400m all out
Do I rest too much on the 400s? Too few reps for the 400s or 800s? Too slow/fast? Thanks in advance for any help.
