What do you think Farah could run for 800m?
He has speed, and also great endurance. Surely he can put two 52s laps together?

Well he did go 1:48 at the end of the 5k at world champs and that was with a 56/52. With his 3:28 and that fact that he has closed 5ks in 50 seconds I think he could do. 1:44/45
That 5k was his warm up for his 800m pretty much
1:46. No way he runs 1:44.
1:46 high, maybe low 1:47. these elite distance guys are very good at holding close to their max speed in races. look at Rupp for an example, he run a 1:50 800m, but a 3:50 indoor mile.
ventolin?
At worst 1:45.
Easy pie as maths
3:28 >>> multiply 2 == 3:26
12:53 >> multiply 0.983 == 12:40
26:46 ->-> Â multiply 0.983 == 26:20
and ... >> potential nearby wr making 800 = 1:41.0

He closed ONE 5k in 50 seconds, but it was so slow (~14:00) that it is entirely irrelevant. It was so slow that it may have even been slower than his true finishing ability because of the running start at that pace.

Typo
To establish a range for possible 800m times...
3:27 & 26:50 indicate 1:44.46
3:27 & 26:40 .... 1:44.72
3:28 & 26:50 .... 1:45.17
3:28 & 26:40 .... 1:45.43
3:26.5 & 26:50 .... 1:44.11
3:26.5 & 26:40 .... 1:44.37
Http://timescalculator.appspot.com
I'd guess 1:44.high
1:46 at best. No way he runs it any faster. He'd start an 800 race from standing still, let's not forget rather than rolling in to it
Galen nor Mo could break 50 in 400.
Galen couldn't run under 1:49 in an 800.
Mo couldn't run under 1:47 in an 800.
Using your website with 3:28.5 and 26:35 Farah gets 1:45.9
Well lets assume that 3:28 and 26:40 are worth 1:45:43 like you say.
Then where do the 1:44 high come from? From running on hate?

Where does 26:40 come from? Use 26:46 as it is accurate

I'm not sure that I understand your question, but hopefully I'm answering what you're asking.
I don't know his exact best recent times for 1500m and 10000m, and I don't know how good the pacing was in either of those efforts, so I provided a range of estimates for 1500m and 10000m (based off of my non-exact memory of his times last year) in order to get to a range of possible 800m times. Do you know what his times were last year?
Thus, some 1500m and 10000m combinations indicated 1:44.xx while some indicated 1:45.xx. It looked like the average of all the indicated 800m times was 1:44.high. I'd need to see splits of races for both 1500m and 10000m to give a specific and confident 800m time.
No clue how hateful he was or would be during an 800m race. I'll work on a calculator for that.

Maybe, maybe not. The 26:46 is only accurate if the pacing was good and it was run in some time proximity to his 1500m time.
Looking at
http://www.all-athletics.com/node/35632It looks like his 26:46 was from FIVE YEARS ago. I'm too cautious to consider that an accurate reflection of his recent or current fitness. I feel like this is "obviously" (to use your name) frowned upon in the tip section on that calculator website where it says:
"the 2 times should represent concurrent ability. Times run more than a month apart may produce inaccurate results."
Forget a month apart, you're talking about FIVE YEARS!
He could dip under 1:44.
Said Aouita could and Mo can too.
Using your calculator, his actual PBs for 1500m and 10km give 1:45.9.
His estimated shape of 3:28.5 with 26:30, 26:35 or 26:40 all give times in the region of 1:45 high.
Using his 3:28.9 along with the half marathon he ran that year 59:22 gives 1:46.0.
So based on your own calculator you should conclude Mo Farah would run slower than 1:45.5 at least, and be more comfortable saying 1:45/1:46 rather than 1:44.
Without any calculator I would guess he could run 1:45.0 absolute fastest, more like 1:45.5 if he ever did try.
