I'm losing motivation to run so I decided to quit when I run faster than him at every distance he raced.

2:26:44 marathon
2:10 half-mile in HS
Not too clear about his other records. If you can find a copy, check out
John Chodes' biography titled "Corbitt, The Story of Ted Corbitt, Long Distance Runner."
Forgot to mention, I know his ultra records from a book I have but not the one I mentioned.
You will never race as far or as fast if you have little motivation.
His son just posted here the other day. Maybe he will provide all his prs

2 miles really 9:06? That doesn't seem consistent with the other distances/times posted. Then again, the 10.4/50.7 -> 2:26 makes a 9:06 2mi plausible.
You have to know that in his era you didn't have the sort of availability of races at all distances that we have now. College track meets had the two mile as their longest race. That was even true for conference meets. The few open meets you could find also generally had the two as the longest race. The only chances I can recall having to race three and six miles as an out of school runner were at regional AAU championships and they were often held at mid day in the summer with fairly small fields..
I'd bet that Corbitt ran the two mile in college and then focused on long road races, marathons and beyond once he graduated with maybe an occasional 3 or 6 mile race. In other and fewer words I'd bet some of those times would have been much faster if he'd run those distances seriously several more times.
