So, indoor season is almost over, or might be over right now for some people. How do you like to transition to outdoor training? I never improve in track as much as I expect, and I think it's because my coach doesn't emphasize mileage as much as during XC season.
Outdoor season from start to finish is three months. Take one month to build up mileage again? Maybe a tempo run once a week? We'll have some low-key dual meets, too. And what is a good target for weekly mileage? I'm a senior, 4:35/9:40 times this winter, and I really want to get down to 4:20/9:25 by the end of May.
One other question: I think my easy runs are too hard (6:20). They feel easy, but should I slow those down to 7:00 pace?
