    I got a concussion on Friday during my soccer game. I'm waiting to see my athletic trainer today since she wasn't here yesterday. I still feel some of the symptoms like dizziness, spacing out, some neck pain, and some tingling. I believe it's not that serious but don't want to take any risks. I was told by the other athletic trainer at the game that I would be out of soccer for at least a week due to the law. When's the best day to come back to running? My season starts in less than a month... Has anyone experienced this before???

    Do NOT run if you have any symptoms. On the first day of being symptom-free - be HONEST with yourself - add at LEAST another WEEK onto it before you begin physical activity. You need to put the anxiety of your season beginning, other immediate goals, etc away and allow yourself to heal properly - this is important for your future health and not to be messed with. I've been there and cannot stress this enough.

    OP, please go to a doctor at the soonest appointment they have. Tell them in detail the incident that happened at your soccer game as well as all symptoms you are having since then.

    Until then, stay away from computer screens, don't drive, relax at home. Concussions have been under treated for decades. We are now understanding how important proper care and rest is after a concussion.

    Do not just go to your trainer. By law, your school should require a note from your doctor clearing you to return to competition. This is for your protection. Returning too soon can have long term negative effects. It is very much worth taking the extra week or two.

    Dude, you have to drink some recovery water, it will heal your head faster.
