Title says it all. I am going on a trip where I'll miss wed/thurs/Friday plus the next Monday and Tuesday. Should I just say I went to doctor Monday and get them to write a doctors note? Can they fire me even if I provide a doctors note? Probably not legally, but they'll be mad. I think employment law states that an absence over 3 days requires a doctors note and if employee misses over 10 days in a year (excluding vacation/layoff/leave of absence) then he can be subject to firing.
