Okay, I\'m guilty. A couple of times each year I post information in our office break rooms that advertise fundraisers for my kids\' school and travel sports teams. I hate doing it, and I don\'t do any sort of solicitation beyond posting the information. That said, I\'m not the only person in the office who tries to schlep stuff for his/her kids.
My bigger problem is that the crap that we\'re asked to sell always seems impractical to me (stuff like candles, coupon books, etc.) When you take the approach I do - NOT pushing the product on people or \"guilting\" them to help me out - these items are hard to move.
So here\'s my question: For those of you who actually don\'t mind being subjected to these fundraisers, what do you actually like to buy? Food? (cookies, cookie dough, popcorn, etc.) Services? (car washes, etc.)
Thanks for your input.
