Why do some people feel the need to brag to people whenever possible? If you are good at something then I am fine with you bragging because you have worked hard and deserve it. However, if you have not achieved anything then I would like them to shut up. I don't care if you ran a 4:30 marathon and feel the need to brag about it. I also don't care if some fat person just got into running and feels the need to brag that they ran 5 minutes non-stop. Wait to brag until you have achieved something. Myself, I am not great at running and I never feel the need to post anywhere and try to brag since nobody cares about me. Why is everyone so supportive of some fat person who ran a 5k??? How about they work hard for a few years or maybe even a few months and ACTUALLY achieve something. Not everyone can run a sub 20 5k but if you are bragging about getting under 30, I DONT CARE. Either you are fat and should fix it or are training completely wrong. If someone has worked hard for 3 years and went from running 5 minutes non stop to a 21 minute 5k, congrats for him. He worked hard for 3 years and now he is bragging and showing what is possible. Why do some people think that they don't have to work or do anything to gain praise. Giving anyone over a 4:30-5:00 marathon praise is like a participation award in my opinion. People I know come up to me and say, "I just ran a 5:30 marathon, I've gotten so much better, what do you think?" I don't even know what to say. Has this world gotten to a point where I can go join my swimming team, make a lap without drowning and get the most applause of out anyone in the arena? Why do we applaud the losers more than the winners. Unless the loser has a disability, the only thing holding him back is how much work he put in, which is probably not much.
