Sooooo, I am a senior in high school and emailed some coaches from D1 schools about how I could walk on since I am not fast enough to get a scholarship. SURPRISINGLY THEY RESPONDED! .....Annnnnnnd even walk-ons need to be fast. The coach told me I need to run a 4:20 mile to make the cut. Is it even heard of to drop 25 seconds in 6 months? What can I do to improve?
My training right now looks like 40 miles per week and 2 speed sessions per week. My speed sessions are probably not right :/ What are some good mile workouts to get my times down? I'm desperate I tell you!! I know you don't need long runs but more fast running. I am lost :/
