Need some advice from more experienced runners.
Started running in June last year, 3 miles a week.
Now on my 2nd 40 mile week.
All runs at easy pace.
My goal is to run a 5K as fast as I can then a 10K. Current PB is 19:47.
When should I start workouts? My legs are fine and I've not had any injuries (touch wood). I'm getting bored of running easy. Would it be smarter in the long run to be patient and increase mileage before starting workouts and reaping the benefit? Would be nice to be faster though, I like running at an effort.
