Watched Warriors absolutely destroy Cavs and Spurs. Earlier saw them struggle (but win) against Clippers. Last night they made it past OKC.
How is it that OKC and Clippers can at least make it a game against GSW but the Cavs and Spurs can't? The answer is you need a tough, athletic, defensive beast at point guard to at least slow Curry down a little bit.
It doesn't help to have a defensive beast at small forward (Kawhi) because there is just nowhere to hide your point guard. Who is Tony Parker going to guard - Klay Thompson? Might as well pencil him in for 40. Draymond Green? C'mon man! Even Harrison Barnes is enough of an offensive threat that you can't put a defensively deficient point guard on him.
The Warriors start with Curry. But they have serious weapons at 1 - 4 so you can't just have your point guard move over to the weak link. If anyone is going to have any chance against them in the playoffs it will be someone with a tough as nails all-defensive team point guard (Chris Paul) or perhaps a super athletic monster point guard (Russell Westbrook).
Cavs (Kyrie), Spurs (Parker) don't stand a chance.
That is all.
