Whenever I do speedwork it feels like I never "go to the well" Even though the effort can be very high. Im sort of saying even if im running all out it doesn't actually feel hard (or at least not compared to say a fast finish long run)
I tend to struggle with the longer stuff (hard long runs/strength based workouts) so I understand why speedwork would come easier too me. But does anyone else experience this?
This is an odd question, and it is extrememly difficult to put into words. and I doubt I will get a good response. But it just feels so easy even though its hard. Could this just be because maybe my inherent speed is greater than my aerobic base? or something like that. Im not really sure. I typically always crush the speedworkouts that my coach gives me. and always struggle with the longer stuff. (Which sucks sort of cuz he gives me a ton of the longer stuff to help work on my weakness.
I don't know maybe I just suck at long distance running haha. If it helps I haven't been running for very long (relatively I started training about 2 years ago.) and I have never broke 45 mpw.
