Kind of crazy to think that a relatively new company like roll recovery is doing a better job at supporting athletes than USATF itself...

Usatf is incredibly corrupt. It's not crazy if your business model is making money by inflicting harm on others, i.e. Symmonds, etc.

I guess good for them, but it strikes me as a PR move more than a real concern about the athletes. And USATF does pay to support the "A" qualifiers who get their travel and hotel paid for plus a $40 per-diem that exceeds the registration fee.

Yeah those are some good points, forgot only the B athletes pay, still can't help but think many of the qualifiers are coming from the HM though. Good publicity for RR
For what it's worth, EVERYONE has to pay the $30 fee, even A-Standard Athletes. This seems a bit absurd to me, particularly since the A-Standard athletes are supposed to have their expenses covered.
It just seems like a pointless gesture. There are like 400 people running in the Trials - that's $12K. With the LA Marathon the next day, tons of sponsorship $ from swoosh, skechers, NBC for TV rights, etc. this must seem like a drop in the bucket. What's the point?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?

Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
