The cocktail lunch
Take lots of smoke breaks
Early internet but see office space
Sexy time.
Water cooler / coffee pot talk. Still happens in some places.
We communicated using Telenet, FAX, telegrams, Bi-Sync, SNA, Dec-Net, X.25, ISDN, Telenet, Tymnet, bulletin-boards, ...

I had a portable TV that I kept under the desk during regular work hours and (often) on the desk in after hours. Big law firm(s).
When the internet came along, it was just a matter of changing screens.

Read newspapers. Ran at lunch. Ran errands. Went to the toilet. Occasionally worked.
