With the NCAA Indoor Track conversions, is there any acceptance of converted marks being eligible for record purposes? I could see the mark being acceptable if the conversion was 1:1 (like it is for 200m vs oversized tracks for the long-distance events). But what if the conversion is not 1:1?

For example, if a 400m that was run on a flat track was faster than a school or conference record when the mark was converted to the banked equivalent, is that legit? Or should the converted marks just be focused more for qualification purposes?
I remember seeing some grief given on this website for when the Air Force Academy announced they had their first sub-4 when they converted the athlete's mark from altitude to sea-level. But I was wondering what the general acceptance of these converted marks are.
