Hi,
I'm in the middle of Boston training. I bumped my mileage a bit from 45-50mi/wk to 55-60mi/wk. That's all fine. The thing is, all was good and I'm nailing my workouts in good way. However, I think the higher volume is getting to me gradually. During the last couple of weeks, it has been more and more difficult to nail the sessions and it feels that I'm not responding as well as I should or am used to.
So, I think I'm overtraining slightly. The question is how should I bounce back as quickly as possible? I'm not over the edge yet, but most def overtraining a bit. Is it better to just totally rest for a week and then continue, being a bit careful with mileage, or maybe keep mileage and pay attention to keep the recovery and distance speeds down?
What you think?
Aiming for a 2:48 finish.
