Hi all, I have a 10k road race coming up in Feb 7 and did 6 x 1200m in 3:20 with 3min jog recoveries yesterday. Was an even effort and didn't have to push too hard to finish intervals. Max HR in workout was 173 last interval and my actual max HR is about 195-200. I'm going to do 6 x 1600m at 3:37/km pace today with 1min rest and expect to be able to complete that without undue duress. My last 10k race in September I did in 37:37 which was a killer effort but I am significantly more fit now as I can do 10k tempo runs in 38 with a steady effort. I've been doing about 100-120k/ week the last 10 weeks (long run + 1-2 other quality sessions depending on fatigue levels). I'm thinking of aiming for about 35min for the race, does this sound reasonable or could I do better?
