I hear he's one of the most talented Portland has ever had. He's just struggled with injuries off and on. By the way he's running now I completely agree--one of the best behind ches.
Looks like he finished strong last spring (5th in NCAA 5000), but then redshirted XC and is coming into this season at another level.
He trained in Iten with a Kenyan teammate for six weeks last summer. Seems to have paid off. He pr'd by a ridiculous 35 seconds at 3k.

Wow, really? Good for him. What's his degree? Does he plan to run professionally?
Talked with him after the race and he was pretty excited. Stated that he has done no speed work. So watch out at the NCAA with some speed under his belt.
