It's blizzarding outside, and I don't have access to a treadmill. What can I do inside that would be equivalent to running?

run inside
Snow shoe.
The answer is in #2 here:
So stop yer whining. Opportunity in adversity mate.
You mean you don't want to run today.
Jump rope
Also a good time to buy a tmill. There are folding ones if space-constrained. Depending on need you can get a cheap one that will be good enough for occasional use, but if planning to use it more often get a good one. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING TO DO WITH ICON FITNESS - NordicTrack, Proform, etc. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE.
Thankfully I have a treadmill and knocked out 40 min this morning watching the blizzard. However, tomorrow I have a 3hr long run and I am not sure what I'm going to do. I know I am not going 3hrs on a treadmill, but am thinking of alternating 20 min on the treadmill, then stomping around my neighborhood loop for however long that takes and back on the treadmill and repeat. Lots of work just pushing HR. Would push it off to Monday, but not sure if it'll be better, worse, or if I will have work or not.
Be safe!
I run outside year round in Chicago... Why can't you run in the snow?

There are 40 mph wind gusts. I don't want to die.
you need to sack up, spike up, and get out there. no excuses.
Take a long hard walk in the deep snow. Not exactly running, but gets your heartrate up and is good training.
Do core work. Don't listen to these "no excuses" idiots. There is NO REASON to be out in a blizzard. That's not dedication, it's just stupidity. A day off from running will have no effect on your fitness. Tomorrow the sun will be out and you can run in the snow.
If you had a vehicle that was good in this kind of weather, you have someone drive you 'upwind' about 10 miles & then you do a nice fast steady state 10 back with the wind. Probably not feasible I know. I'm hitting my treadmill now for a 2 w/u & 10 @MP. This storm is the real deal, blowing like mad. Just came in from shoveling, what a mess. Will be awesome to run in tomorrow though when this wind dies down a bit.
Warm up by digging a path around your house and then run around that for a couple hours.
I've done 3 hours on the treadmill. No big deal.
I went and ran 5 this morning in these conditions and it was a really stupid decision. Wind and visibility were the issues. It was fine when the wind was behind me. I'd say just chill today man- I think tmrw afternoon should be fine for the long run
You can do sets of drills like high knees and butt kicks, push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks and my favorite burpees. Also jump roping is good.
knee lifts? Why not just take the day off? The real problem is when these storms drag on for a week.

This. I ran every day of 2013 outdoors. In Winnipeg.
