Move to Wanaka, NZ
I would first invest 99 million.
Then I would finish this track season.
Then I would spend 300k on a really bulletproof sailboat. Then I would cruise the world for a year.
Then I would come back home and start a mid size (50 to 60 barrels) brewery (would cost about 1-2 million).
I would spend about 2 million on my dream house (a small ranch with 30 to 40 acres and a moderate house of 2000 square feet and a nice shope)
With 80 million of what was left, I would put into a long term investment and use the interest on a scholarship charity.
I would then have about 15 million left that I would invest separately and never touch the principal, the interest would be my emergency money if my business failed.
Then I'd run the brewery, but put into place good people that I trust, so I could go on vacation when I want and also have time to spend with my future children.
This is pretty much what my next 5 years of plans are anyway, except right now my future brewery is much smaller, the dream house isn't in the plans, and the scholarship fund isn't there. But I do plan to finish this track season, then sail for 6 months to a year (on a cheaper boat), then come back and start a small business. The money would just allow me to do it all a little bigger.
I would give $1 mil to each of my siblings and parents (4 mil total). $1 mil to each of my extended family (8 mil total) I would Invest $50 mil leaving me with $38 mil left.
I would buy 2-3 homes ($5 mil total).
I would travel for 3-6 months (road trip across America, Europe, Australia) (>$1)
I would probably want to spend on some nice things like a couple cars lets say I am left with $30 mil. I would take $5 mil and donate to different areas I am passionate about.
Next I would check on my family again and see if they need help. Invest the rest.
For a job I might try to coach HS track.
Hi Flagpole!
1. Two week notice at work.
2. Find a lot of land for running trails, range, house.
3. Build a workshop for wood working and welding.
4. Make things. Hike. Run.
5. I'd travel a bit more but not too much. It gets old after a while.
I would buy my Mom a house of her choice.
I would donate 1 million to the my favorite YMCA to pimp out their pool.
Then I'd probably start a running camp on the beach. Next, I'd find some people to help run it and pay them a bunch of money and make them happy.
I'd then buy some sort of camper van and go around all of the Americas traveling and doing adventure activities; SCUBA, backpacking, sailing, surfing, bicycle and motorcycle touring, etc.
All the while I'd have some properties here and there in favorite places around the US and hire someone to manage and rent them out.
Basic stuff like that.

This is what many of us do. When you have a hot wife, and you're not able to run a sub-14 5k again, there's nothing else worthwhile to do than troll lrc.
Quit my paying day job, work part time at volunteer jobs for organizations that I care about.
I would take care of my family first - 5 million per immediate family member (that's 25 million right there).
I'd save/invest 10 million for each of my kids - 40 million
I would renovate my current house and pay it off. I have no reason to go anywhere, even though it's modest.
I'd pay off the small amount of debt I have, which is entirely inconsequential relative to the total.
I'd also give away about 1 million to 10 random strangers. I think this would be the hardest part because most people would think it's a scam. Hopefully, amidst my random selection (aka, finding someone while pumping gas or behind me in line at the grocery store), I would help some newlyweds. The struggle is real!
That leaves me with 25 million. I'd give my church 10 million, I'd invest 10 million of it, and keep 5 million for myself. I'd send my kids to good schools through college if they chose to go. Speaking of - I wouldn't tell them about their inheritance until they graduated. Otherwise it might skew their ability to choose what they actually want to do in life, rather than sit around and do nothing and count their money. This is also why staying in the current house is critical.
The only big purchase I would make is a Prevost bus. I've always wanted to pretend like I am in a successful band, but also, those things are so roomy and spacious that you can vacation for months and feel right at home.
I've always wanted to start my own business, so maybe I would quit my job if I could think of something worth my time and money.
Pay national elite runners to run USATF broadcast events in hot dog costumes.
Fund education causes that infuriate the Right.

What organizations? Can you share?
I'd keep a couple million. One million saved in cash. Another four or five invested. Donate the rest.
From there, life would be a very long vacation.
I\'d give 5 mill to each my family members and live in an awesome spot like boulder co then exercise my butt off for the rest of my life and not worry about money. Travel all over the world it would be amazing
What I would want to do in a perfect world. I would take 50 million and set up a medical research center. I would take on 5 PI and give them each 1 million in funding per year. This way they could just focus on their research for 10 years without having to deal with the nih/nsf beauracracy.
Then I'd let my wife determine where to donate the other 50 million. She's a human rights lawyer for a humanitarian organization and would put the money to good use I'm sure.
2 things:
1. cocaine
2. whores

Why is everyone being so un charitable? Barely giving any of it away? I would start by giving $48.35 million of it away to my fellow citizens
I'll start local and give 3.20% of it to my fellow Baltimoreans, then 5.75% of it to my fellow Marylanders and 49.6% of it to people from every state. So basically 1 million to every state in the land.
I'm going to be entrusting the IRS to handle this for me as I don't have time to be handle all of the disbursement my check.
After that, I'll lay low for a while, maybe invest some of it while I wait to see if any magazine writers want to profile me for my generosity.

Get a larger house. Not gigantic. Large enough to add an office. Maybe a bit more yard space between myself and neighbors.
Get a pay for performance mistress. Good severance when we're ready to call it a day.
Never fly regular airlines again. Lease private jets when I want to travel.
Give two weeks notice..oh wait. Already retired. Cross that one off the list.
