She's probably already suffering from low T now that she is 40.
The United States Olympic Committee head Peter Ueberroth, whose organization profited mightily by marketing Jones as the face of the sport, said that her confession was “long overdue and underscores the shame and dishonor that are inherent with cheating.â€
IAAF president Lamine Diack piled on, saying, “Marion Jones will be remembered as one of the biggest frauds in sporting history.â€

Amy Acuff turned 40 the summer of year. She's a five time Olympian; 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012. She finished third in the HJ at US Nationals in 2015 but did not meet the height standard of 1.94m to go to Worlds. I believe she will take one more try at the Olympics for 2016. Incredible longevity in T&F.

A very impressive career. However on these boards she will always be more popular for her orgy gang bang with the German rowing team in 2008 Beijing.
First off, I need to hear that story
second, how bad is US high jumping that someone who didn't meet the world standard finished 3rd at USAs?
The problem with US high jumping (specifically women's) starts at the high school level, by mostly prioritizing talent from potential "power-jumper" high jumpers. The "speed-jumper" kind requires more time to develop (as their speed increases), but by this time all the attention had switched to the big hoppers. The problem is, many good power high jumpers either 1) switch sports or 2) because of a lack of attention to the speed component altogether, they never learn, early enough, how to use speed along with their power. End result: world-level athletes, yet without that extra ability to control more speed with their bodies, thus higher heights. The US has so much talent that needs to be properly reinforced (spoiler alert) at the high school level.

marion jones is a piece of shit. who cares?
You obviously didn't care three times ;-)
i just am not in the habit of giving cheats, liars, and thieves the time of day. Our sport is tainted with crooks who deserve to die for all they have stolen and destroyed from others. And clearly i didnt write the same post three times.
For what it's worth, the tragedy is that without the drugs, she was
still a great athlete, both in track and basketball...
