awfully quick this early. hard to shift gears that fast right after xc.
is that nohilly kid behind him the son of the steepler?
Yes and there is a quick sister too
Great run, but don't forget that Hunter would run this in trainers, in practice, at the end of a session right now.
Not putting it out there to diminish what Tooker did, just making sure people don't forget the caliber of the current HS top dog.
Yes, but what did he run the first 1500m in?

Yes, his father is steepler Tom Nohilly.

I am
Impressive for a guy who was only 37th at NXN. Certainly the right trajectory...
Webb ran 16 seconds faster in high school.

Not indoors in December.

This is such a funny comment I see around here often. They are high school kids, most of them running 4:20 or faster have that gear 365 days a year.
Does anyone else have college stories about running a track 1600/mile at the end of XC season and decent guys PR'd? I think our graduate assistant was a D3 national champ at 5k and his mile PR was from the post XC season mile run. (May have invented the PR part in my head, but he definitely ran a ridiculous time for a November mile with his teammates.) I understand this potentially raises lots of other questions, but I personally don't see how it's that difficult for a young athlete to run a good mile time off of XC fitness.
Good time, but not as impressive as Nevada Mareno running a one-day double of 4:43y/10:03y DURING cross country.
well done for them. no substitute for parental example and coaching--maybe genes too.
It happens and that's why you have these early December meets, but all you need to know about this is to look at the track lists in December vs. January or February. The leaders run far, far superior times in January and February.

Anyone see the race? Did he lead wire to wire or sit and kick and everyone else died .?
I've run many strong mile races off 5k training. Your body isn't used to it, but you can usually run a very solid time.
Looks like he broke his own Saratoga school record and also the Section 2 record
from section2harrier--
1. Jeremy Spiezio Greenwich 2015 4:08.35 (4:09.80 mile)
2. Dan McManamon Shenendehowa 2006 4:09.06 (4:10.72 mile)
3. Aidan Tooker Saratoga 2015 4:10.10 (4:11.56 mile)
4. Miles Irish Burnt Hills 1983 4:10.17 (4:11.84 mile)
5. Dylan Welsh Saratoga 1999 4:11.34 (4:13.02 mile)
6. Brian Rhodes-Devey Guilderland 2006 4:11.51 (4:13.19 mile)
7. Todd Orvis Colonie 1989 4:12.31 (4:13.99 mile)
8. Greg Kiley Saratoga 2006 4:13.12 (4:14.81 mile)
9. Greg Kelsey Saratoga 2006 4:13.27 (4:14.96 mile)

He sat in 2nd for this first half, taken out in 2:06 by the kid who finished in 2nd. 307 at the bell
