LRC is littered with quotes re: Seb Coe's conflict of interest with Nike.
I have zero problem with it.
The guy's been on the Nike payroll for decades. It was known when he was running for office. He made no claim (that I'm aware of) that he's was going to quit Nike if elected.
On the conflict of interest angle, of course there is a conflict of interest, but Nike is by far the best company to sponsor T&F. Why, as the head of IAAF, would you want to alienate your sponsor?
The point is, whether he's on the Nike payroll or not, he should be kissing some serious Nike a__ on a regular basis. Quitting Nike changes nothing (except Lord Coe loses 6 figures / year).
This idea that he needs to take Nike to task is ridiculous. That would be like Roger Goddell prosecuting Gatorade. Never going to happen.
What he needs to do is clean up the sport, primarily Russia, Africa and Europe, and bring in the $$$. That's it.
