Im a small D1 female college runner. I was injured over a year and a half and had some (not intense) cross training during that time and little sporadic running. I started doing consistent running the very end of June into July. I did the xc season cause we have a small team and they needed me. I felt extremely tired and out of shape the whole season. The most my mileage got to was 35 and my legs felt so heavy. Also I was given workouts during xc that totally destroyed my legs and most of my runs were not quality. How long will it take my body to adapt to training again? I'm still dealing with muscle imbalance issues and running doesn't feel smooth yet, but the exercises I've been doing have been giving me steady improvement.
