Good, but deeply worrying it took him this long.
"The current noise around it is not good for the IAAF and it is not good for Nike," Coe said.
So he still doesn't admit any possible conflict of interest or problem with his Nike contract, just continues to blame the media for the "noise".
Are you ok with politicians accepting money from companies?

I can't tell how much of his simple-mindedness is the act of a political sociopath or legitimate duncery. He is credited with orchestrating London 2012 so I am inclined towards the former.
What a tool. He should step down from IAAF as well.
I'm sure he returned all his money. You know to preserve the image or independence or something.
Coe already raked in a sizable wad of money. Will he give it back? No.

Give it back to Nike? Why? Are they short of money all of a sudden?
And I am sure he will be totally unbiased towards Nike now too.. *cough cough*
they'll probably pay him cash now to continue to exert influence
that's how sleazy Coe and NIke are!

And he knows there's always a well paid job just waiting for him whenever he wants it, so yeah, totally unbiased...*cough cough*.
When you read his quotes on this matter, he still hasn't realized what everyone else did years ago, rather defiant and, well, stupid. The conflict of interest is so obvious and the fact that he can't see that and only took these steps after huge pressure shows he shouldn't be trusted in this leadership role. Combine this with the lobbying he has done for Nike within the IAAF and his ties to the corrupt former leader and he should be run out of town.I'd be curious to see the terms of the termination, any parting gifts?

He will end the formal contract, but he will still receive "consulting" fees,Nothing has changed. Masback will still send him instructions. This is political posturing. What is good, is the British tabloids have found the Seb Coe fodder, good for business. So it does not matter what the issue is , just make him look corrupt .
LOL. If you think Coe dropped Nike, you're insane.
He parted amicably with them. Coe is very, very, very, very, very, very well liked and connected at Nike.
If he ever needs it in the future, the'll be a nice check in an envelope for him. Or a huge wire transfer when he retires from IAAD at age 80.
"Coe drops Nike," that's rich.
Choose your words carefully, grasshopper.
I thought that's how politics is done in the USA.

Coe is just full of shit. Time to look into his track records and what kind of sports medicine he was into. He is a compromisor and pragmatic to the core. Which is to say he cheats.
He's just like his dad. Peter Coe's pretentious, prevaricating pieces of trash posing as training manuals ruined generations of runners all over the world that took them on face value. Falsehoods spewed out on the basis of the performances of a single skinny, vapid, narcissistic medical experiment in spikes.
The apple fell right next to the tree.
