Former college XC runner just getting back into the sport. Here are a couple workouts from the last week. Both felt like 85-90% efforts. Could've gone harder but race is Dec 6th so I'm starting to taper. Would've started taper sooner but have only trained for 8 weeks total.
Based on these workouts, how fast should I go out? I'm thinking I'll run the first half in 1:26ish.
