Walked to this rally instead of driving.
http://lolworthy.com/funny/thank-you-lord-jesus-for-president-trump/I didn't flush my morning dookie.
Put my recycling on the curb this morning. A beer bottle fell out and broke on the street. I picked it up and put all of the pieces back into the bin. As I put them back, I started singing, "Pickin' up those pieces. Pickin' up those pieces. Pickin' up those pieces. Puttin' them away." I ended up throwing away my newspaper, though, because it was in my car and they didn't have a recycling bin at the gas station. I usually clean out my car at the gas station while I am waiting for the gas to finish filling my tank. I think other people do this, too, because the trash cans in between pumps are always overflowing with trash. Maybe it is just a thing with gas station employees. Maybe they are all just louts who are too lazy to empty the cans, but it seems to be the case wherever I go. You know, this reminds me that I never fully trust the gas thing to shut off by itself when the tank is full. I am always worried that I will turn around and gas will be splashing out of the hose all over the side of my car. It's never happened to me, but I think about it every time I fill my tank. The gas station closest to my house has a car wash that I use on occasion, so I guess if that ever happened, I could just use the car wash and be done with the whole thing. Sure, the gas station attendant would have to come out and do something about the puddle of gas on the ground, but getting off his duff to get something done would do him well. Maybe he'd even change out the garbage cans while he was out there. I mean, I guess he would be happy to do it since I paid for the gas. With the price of gas getting set to skyrocket, you'd think more people would be stocking up on the stuff while it is so low. I might buy some gas futures today. In the hypothetical situation I just mentioned - the one where the gas pump fails to shut off automatically and the gas goes all over my car and forms a big puddle on the ground - you'd think there would be people lining up to collect the gas to use at a later time. I'm thinking of that great foreshadowing scene in A Tale of Two Cities where a wine barrel is broken by a deliveryman in front of the wine merchant's shop and all of the poor townspeople come out of their respective hiding places to drink the wine off the street. What a great scene.
