How long do you think a runner should take a break? I just finished my high school cross country season and want to start training for track , but I know I must take a small break in between. How long of a break do you all think would be sufficient ? 2-3 weeks ? Should I keep doing strength training for my body? What about incorporating light biking and pool workouts a few time during the break? I am about to be entering my junior track season and want to be in the best shape possible .
