Was doing ~60mpw, classic marathon schedule, (long repeats, tempo, long run each week). Ran 2:57 early fall.
I'm looking to break 2:50 in a spring marathon and know that I should up my mileage. I've been doing about 75 mpw for a month now and am improving, so as long as I'm improving, is there any real benefit to upping things to 85 or 90 mpw? Will the improvement be faster or is it just injury risk?
