that's some dedication for Stone Cutter to start this thread today still! good luck out there in Philly!
Goal race: 2016 Boston Marathon (4/18)
Goal time: 2:46.xx (~6:20/mi)
previous 4 week's of mileage: 68, 77, 79, 83
Weird week of running for me, had a blister to deal with most of the week and also rolled my ankle on top of that early in the week, and first 20 miler scheduled for this buildup.
Monday - 14.5mi on the roads @ 7:32. Really high winds throughout the day
Tuesday - a.m. 5.5mi on grass @ 8:14, rolled my ankle early in mile 4 while thinking about a blister that was bothering me :(
p.m. 9mi including 16x400m on the track. Ankle didn't swell up much during the day, it was a little uncomfortable but not enough to sideline me (my rationale) so I gave it a go and hit up a track workout with a group I'd been meaning to check out. Felt surprisingly good on the 400's. 74sec average with 1:15 rest, hadn't done much at this pace lately (or in the last few years) besides strides. Nice to get the legs going a little.
Wednesday - 12mi on grass @ 8:05
Thursday - 10.5mi on grass @ 7:38. Usually double on Thursdays but decided to take the morning off and take the day to get the ankle loosened up a little.
Friday - 20mi @ 7:33. Had the day off work anyways plus wanted to free up some time this weekend. First 20 miler of this build up, alternated between 5mi on the roads, 6mi on grass, 5 mi on the roads, 4mi on grass. I think that helped me a little bit mentally alternating between 2 different loops/courses. 7:49avg first 10, 7:16 avg last 10. Felt pretty good overall, one of my most consistent long runs.
Saturday - 4mi on grass @ 8:01
Sunday - about to head out, probably 5 or 6 mi on grass + strides and drills
