Regina's has a location in Allston that would be easily fit 12 on a weekday. Probably the most famous pizza place in Boston (their orginal North End location) though I prefer Santarpio's.
I heard he inhaled mayo. Are you telling me he put the mayo on pizza? The legend borders on tall tale now.

"I brought a friend to see him after the race one year, and the friend couldn't believe that the guy who had just won the Boston Marathon was spooning mayonnaise onto a pizza," says Amby Burfoot, who won Boston in 1968 while a senior at Wesleyan University, where he and Rodgers were roommates.
For a sit down option the Allston Regina's is a safe bet.
Umberto's in the North End is a classic scene around noon on weekdays, but can't accomodate your dozen.
Mostly called pizza, but I've heard some douches call it "'za"
Thanks It's hard to find places that can seat 12 in an inclusive fashion.
Try Papa Razzi in the Back Bay. It is upscale yuppie stuff, but good nonetheless. They take reservations and have a good selection of wine and beer. Plenty of room for a big gathering with advance notice.
If Somerville is an option I'd recommend Posto. Pastoral in Fort Point may also fit the bill, but isnt as good.

Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
